OLM in Florida!
As many of you have heard by now, OLM is excited to announce that we have opened a Regional Office in Tampa to handle all southwest Florida properties. We welcome Paul Woods as the OLM representative that will be handling this region.
Paul’s diverse background in property management and senior management with some of the largest landscape groups in America makes him uniquely qualified for this new position. Paul has over 23 years experience in the landscape industry, with 21 years experience in central Florida. He has an Associate Degree in Ornamental Horticulture, is a Certified Arborist, Certified Landscape Designer, and Certified Emergency Responder, all of which are very important for this region.
It is with regret we announce that Michael Lackey has left us to explore other opportunities. OLM considers it a privilege to have known and worked with Michael. He has been an extremely valuable employee. I’m sure you will join us in extending best wishes to Michael. He will be greatly missed by all of us!
We feel there will be many advantages for our Florida clients to have a local representative that can be responsive to your needs. Please join us in welcoming Paul!
Thanksgiving 8000-Calorie Poem
May your stuffing be tasty,
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious
and your pies take the prize,
and may your Thanksgiving dinner
stay off your thighs!

Holly Jensen, Frisbee Dog Extraordinaire
We will wind up our series on OLM pets with Holly, who is obviously on her game when it comes to Frisbees! Holly is an 8-year old Border Collie owned and trained by Ed Jensen.
Holly has been doing Frisbee competitions pretty much all of her life. She may be considered middle aged for a dog but hasn’t lost a step and looks forward eagerly to her next game!

Fall In for Gardening
October can be one of the busiest months for landscaping and the garden no matter where you live. Whether you're getting ready for a second season or putting things to bed, there are plenty of chores to go around. Planting, transplanting, overseeding, cutting back… the list goes on.
Gardening in October is entirely dependant on the weather. If there's an Indian Summer, there is no better time of year to be out in the garden. While there will be differences depending on your climate, below are some general chores that cover most areas. For questions about your specific area be sure to ask your OLM consultant!
- Get your soil tested and add amendments as needed.
- Plant trees and shrubs. Be sure to keep them well watered even through the winter (snow permitting).
- Make sure all vacationing houseplants are brought back inside.
- Plant cool season annuals.
- Covering mums and asters on nights when a frost is expected will lengthen their blooming.
- Clear away dead foliage.
- Clean and put away empty containers and garden ornaments.
- Clean and sharpen gardening tools.
- Clean bird feeders.
- Enjoy the season!

Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving.
